GEOFF LAPP • PIANO
Born in Montreal in 1953, Geoff Lapp, pianist of classical education studied at the McGill University Faculty of Music, under Art Maiste. His aptitude and versatility led him to play regularly in various halls, namely at Biddle's and abroad: New York, Los Angeles, Paris, etc. He was heard internationally with Paquito D'Riviera, Don Menza, Ritchie Cole and Bill Evans. In Québec, he played with Dave Turner, Johnny Scott and many more. In 1989, Lapp was invited to play at New Year's Gala in Beijing (China) for diplomats and dignitaries. He also played in Jazz Festivals in Montreal, Ottawa and Québec.
