The
concert was given at la Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur
in May 2004 and in the series Jazz en rafale at Lion D'Or
in March 2005.
Here is a concert that will show another facet of the
transverse flute, an interpretation of the great Jazz classics
revisited and arranged by musicians of an unquestionable
competence. Michel Donato on double bass, Jacques Labelle
on guitar, Michel Lambert on drums and François Richard
on C flute and alto flute, will perform some original arrangements
of great Jazz standards which have rarely (or never) been
interpreted on transverse flute. A music revisited for
the flute, creative and accessible to general public as
well. On the program: works of big names in this vast repertoire:
Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Cole Porter, Charles Mingus, Thelonius
Monk, Charlie Parker, Horace Silver.
The vast répertoire and rich tone of this ensemble
are quite ideal for all kinds of corporate events, cocktails, inaugurations and many more...
