ZOÉ DUMAIS - VIOLIN
Born in Rimouski, she first studied violin with Pierre Montgrain until 1994 and then went to the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal with Johanne Pothier, and Joanne Arel, and obtained a master degree under Claude Richard, at l’Université de Montréal. She’s a member of Foresome quartet (prize winner at Canada music competition, Concours de Musique du Québec and Jeunes Artistes at Radio-Canada).  She conducts the small string ensemble Prélude of Montérégie, and plays occasionally with the Pourpour Band and flamenco guitarist Juan Carranza. Zoé plays with Manouche and studies jazz at Concordia University under Stéphane Allard. She is a member of Scherdanzo duet and the Olives ensemble.
